An outline of the department
The Health@Work Department is a nurse led service consisting of one senior occupational health nurse manager, three occupational health advisers, one clinic nurse/health and wellbeing co-ordinator, three administrators and one sessional consultant occupational health Physician.
The Health@Work Department is based in the Gwyndra Downs Building.
Senior occupational health manager
Responsible for managing the department, proactively seeks and delivers external contract work and ensures that the Health@Work Team deliver a high quality service to all that access the department.
Occupational health advisers
Duties include processing confidential medical questionnaires, assessing health risks, implementing and monitoring health surveillance programmes, advising on ill health prevention, health promotion advice and reviewing short and long term sickness absence.
Clinic nurse/health and wellbeing co-ordinator
Responsible for running vaccination clinics and health surveillance programs, health and wellbeing days, weight loss clubs and other wellbeing initiatives.
Responsible for maintaining the administration for the department including arranging clinics, auditing and dealing with all enquires.
Consultant occupational health physician
Sessional work for the Health@Work Department reviewing long and short term ill health.
