The urology department deals with both male and female urinary and genital problems which might require medical or surgical treatment.
We run specialist clinics for Lower Urinary tract symptoms, Prostate assessment, Haematuria (Blood in Urine), Urodynamics, Andrology and Children. Community based clinics are also held in Ledbury, Leominster, Ross, Llandrindod Wells and Brecon.
We have facilities for minimally invasive stone surgery and ESWL (Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy) and laser, which uses sound waves, also called shock waves, to break down kidney stones.
Wye Valley NHS Trust is part of the Three Counties Cancer Network and all patients results are discussed at a Multidisciplinary Team meeting with Pathology, Radiology and Oncology colleagues.
