How to cancel and re-book my appointment
If you are unable to attend your appointment it is important to let us know as soon as possible.
To cancel your appointment, please call the telephone number on your appointment letter, or call our Referral Management Centre 01432 383100.
We understand that patients sometimes cannot attend their hospital appointments or their child's appointment, for reasons such as child care responsibilities, transport difficulties, or feeling unwell.
However, it’s important that patients make every effort to attend, and if unable to attend please do let us know in advance, so that we can keep the patient on our list, re-book the appointment, and offer the cancelled appointment to another patient who needs it.
If there is a reason making it difficult to attend appointments, please let the hospital know.
Patients who miss their appointments without notifying the Trust may be returned to the care of their GP. Missed appointments also waste significant clinic time, including staffing and resources, and increase waiting times for others.
