Orthotics
The orthotics department offers assessment, advice and provision of orthoses, these are bodily devices applied in such a manner to reduce pain, improve function and mobility.
The orthopeadic surgeon may suggest the use of an orthotic as part of your treatment.
Orthoses include:
- callipers
- insoles
- special footwear
- spinal
- ankle and knee braces
- beltshosiery
- collars
- fracture bracing
- post operative splinting
Orthotics is based in the Therapy Services department at Hereford County Hospital.
