To find out about joining our amazing pharmacy team visit our current vacancies information. If you would like more information before applying for a role, please contact our pharmacy team.
Your first day
When you start employment with us, you will be enrolled onto the Trust’s induction programme before being welcomed to your new role and the department. Your induction usually takes place on day one.
On day one, we understand that it can be a bit of a whirlwind with lots of new information to take in. To help you feel settled, we will show you around the department, which includes meeting people you will be working with and you will be introduced to your mentor who will help you transition into your new work tasks and responsibilities.
Why work with us?
As a member of the pharmacy team, you will be joining a large workforce – with over 100 members of staff, who have different backgrounds and stories to share.
Day to day you will be working with a variety of levels of staff, to ensure we are maintaining the safe distribution of medication for our patients.
Typically, for someone who is new to pharmacy, they will be joining us as an Assistant Technical Officer and part of the person specification details that it is essential to have or at least be willing to work towards the Level 2 qualification in Pharmacy Services, which is provided through an external body but funding is in place to support this.
We have a range of roles within our pharmacy team, such as Assistant Technical Officer, Pharmacy Technicians, and Pharmacists.
We also have a provision and procurement in-house service for all of our stock, whether that’s ordering the best value medicines, managing deliveries or completing stock top ups on the wards.
