Respiratory Services

Respiratory consultants specialise in disorders relating to the lungs. These disorders are diagnosed after investigations are carried out, such as pulmonary function tests and/or bronchoscopy. The consultants interpret the results of these investigations to guide treatment which is commonly delivered through the use of drugs, such as inhalers. Should the need arise, they are also in contact with tertiary centres (specialty hospitals dedicated to very specific sub-specialty care) such as the thoracic surgeons in Birmingham and cancer services in Cheltenham

The Respiratory Department consists of a dedicated multi-disciplinary team who are driven to deliver comprehensive care. They complement the team by carrying out specialist investigations and procedures as well as seeing patients and managing their care.
